Robert Hicks

Against a background of 30 years as a broadcaster, Rob’s affair with wine began in the 1960s, fermented into wine education in the seventies, export and radio in the eighties then to multi-media and presentation from the nineties to this day.

This web site evolved from the long-running radio show Grape Expectations® and continues his passion for telling the stories about quality wine, regardless of price point. Most of these stories are published in Victorian rural newspapers, as well as this web site.

In recent years, Rob has spent much of his time working with the consumer-based Good Food & Wine Show and the trade exhibition Wine & Spirits Australia. Within these events, he is responsible for the schedule and presentation of the wine theatres.
